Cayuga Wine Trail Celebrates 25 Years (WENY-TV)

The Cayuga Wine Trail turns 25 and they have a lot to celebrate. It all started with just four wineries and now visitors can taste the wines at 16 wineries along the trail. The amount of visitors has gone from 300 to nearly 50,000 a year. The produce more than two million bottles of wine a season.

NORTH COAST, Feb. 29, 2008 – U.S. wine exports, virtually all from California, increased 8.6 percent in value last year from 2006 and 12.0 percent in volume, thanks to a surge in bulk-wine shipments to Europe and a recovery of sales to Canada, according to federal trade statistics released today by a San Francisco-based industry advocacy group.

Wine Group buys Almaden, Inglenook brands, Paul Masson winery, for $134M (East Bay Business Times)
